How do we know that the Lord even hears us when we pray?
Throughout the Psalms we see when they cried out to the Lord, He heard and answered:
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill - Psalm 3:4
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, into his ears. Psalm 18:6
Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. Psalm 28:6

We can be assured when we call, He hears and answers. Unlike the prophets of the false god Baal, remember Elijah taunting them because no matter how long or loud they cried out, he did not respond to them to consume the offering on the altar. (see 1 Kings 18).
We come now and call on the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and is and ever-more will be. He is God and there is no other and we call him Abba, Father.

God wants for us to be filled up to all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:18)
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. - 1 Timothy 1:17 KJV
