Writers Posting About Praying
Sharing posts on being truly happy, on prayers going unanswered, on praying about a problem
Browsing through my newsletters, I love seeing other writers post about prayer. Here are a couple I really like, with other memes and Notes.
Would you say that right now, you are truly happy? And if not, do you want to be?
Of course you do. So do I! Usually when we think of happy or not, it’s related to our circumstances. But what what about being happy in God? Biblical happiness is about being blessed.
The article How To Be Happy explores the concept of happiness as presented in Psalms, organizing over twenty occurrences into three main categories.
From Everyday Theology we learn that happiness in the Psalms is fundamentally about trust, expressed through delight, fear, reliance on strength, and walking in truth.
I love the list of 22 verses about being blessed, and I’m using this as a prayer list, daily asking the Lord that I be a man like this. For example, Psalm 1:1 — Blessed is the man who doesn’t have bad counsel with the wicked and scoffers. Oh, Lord I pray that I be such a man, not getting ungodly advice, but from Your Word and Spirit, and those who serve You. Amen
God often delays His answers to our prayers, and that feels like the prayer goes unanswered. The article Unanswered Prayers has some thoughtful words on not getting exactly what you’re praying for is God’s protection.
I like this because of the connection to a popular song to a spiritual truth. When the Lord doesn’t answer our prayers they way we want, we often wonder why. It’s looking back we can sometimes see the answer. Which in a way, is God’s answer.
As Nathan Clark says, “And I can spot God’s fingerprints on every unanswered prayer.”
While our Lord hears our every prayer, He answers them in His way, His time, and according to His will. I thank God His answers are for my good and for His glory.
Finally, and related to above, is a older article of mine on how we deal with problems.

Wow! I’m glad you enjoyed that article! Hopefully others will too! Thanks for sharing it!
