Is your prayer time focused, specific and rational? Or is it rambling, vague, and emotional?
When we pray personally or devotionally for ourselves, it’s sometimes easy to be all-over-the-map. Much like a writer may have an outline for the body of work, or a book that has a table of contents, we find that an outline can help us know where we are going when we pray.
Without a map, we can get lost in the weeds.
That does not mean we don’t or won’t vary the prayers and requests as things come to mind or as the Spirit leads, but knowing where we are and are going can get us on track again.
Here is a simple prayer that will help to guide you step by step:
Pray with FAITH
Pray with ADORATION
Pray with CONFESSION
Pray with THANKSGIVING
Pray with SUPPLICATION
If you can remember the acronym F-A-C-T-S you can remember to pray with Faith in the Lord Jesus, in His Name, and His Word. You can remember to pray with Adoration – praise and worship the Lord for He is good and He is holy. You will remember to pray with Confession, that is of your sins and asking forgiveness. You will remember to be Thankful for His mercy and grace and many other things. You will remember Supplication, to ask and to keep on asking!
These are the simple FACTS of prayer.
When we become too glib in prayer we are most surely talking to ourselves.

Praying for the nation and government
Our group has also been praying regularly for the government, both local and federal, and will be sharing these as well. We will have much more to say on this, as our government and nation need much pray, but for now, please join us in asking our heavenly Father in Jesus name from 2 Timothy 2:1-4
Grace and peace to you
