Seven Prayers For November
Each day we have an intercession focus on one specific group of people
Prayers for PREACHERS on Sundays
Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; Roman 15:30,31 KJV
Pray for accurate teaching of God’s Word to congregations; pray the preachers be men of prayer; pray they present the Gospel in their messages to unrepentant sinners. Pray that preachers would be protected against the evil one and against pride.
Prayers for SALVATIONS on Mondays
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread quickly and be held in honor, just as it was with you. 2 Thessalonians 3:1 BSB
Pray the Word of the Lord travel quickly from person to person, any obstacle to it be removed; and that it be glorified—specifically in the conversion of lost souls. Pray the Good News would speed across the land, to every town, church, street and house; that as it does, it would be light in the darkness.
Prayers for HARVESTERS on Tuesdays
When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38 BSB
Pray for the Lord’s compassion on lost souls today—those like sheep who need the Shepherd, and ask Him to sent to those who will bring in the harvest of souls; those who will witness Him to those sheep, who will evangelize to sinners and tell of the Savior.
Prayers for POLITICIANS on Wednesdays
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. - Psalm 19:7-11 ESV
Pray our political class may be full of those who govern by the Word of God. Pray from Psalm 19:7-11 for all our public servants: that they would know and value the commandments of God and teachings of Christ, and may these guide them in how they live, serve, and govern.
Pray for the new Speaker of the House. He professes to be a man of faith in Christ and may the Lord use him for such a time as this.
Prayers for YOURSELF on Thursdays
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 ESV
Pray for help to be these things: alert to spiritual dangers or untruth or any falling away in zeal for the Lord; remain steadfast and faithful to His word and to prayer; be the protectors and providers; courageous and bold, yet humble.
Pray that all our actions at home, at work, at church, would be done in the love of the Lord; pray that we abound in love in all knowledge and discernment. (Phil 1:9)
Prayers for FAMILY on Fridays
Prayers for a wife: Give my wife wisdom and grace in all dealings. Develop in her the inward beauty of a quiet and gentle spirit. May she enjoy the respect of others because of the fear of the Lord upon her life (Pro 31:10-31, 1 Peter 3:4).
Prayers for a husband: Help my husband walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). May he use every piece of Your armor to resist the enemy, so that he will stand firm (Eph 6:13). Help him lay aside every weight and the sins that trip him up, so he can run with patience the race that You have set before him (Heb 12:1).
Prayers for the children: to Grow in grace - praying they would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus ( 2 Peter 3:18) and confess Jesus as Lord over their lives (Philippians 2:11). and for Fruit of the Spirit - asking they walk by the Spirit, be led by the Spirit, and bear the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:16, 18, 22-23)
Prayers for CHURCHES on Saturdays
give to [us] the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him; the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that [we] may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…Ephesians 1:17-19 ESV
Pray for your congregation, and for the churches nearby, for all those who are in Christ. Ask for God to send us His Spirit to help us today, to have understanding, knowing His Truth, Hope, Glory, Power for those who believe.
Until Monday, grace and peace
