My dear sister read a book “Love to Pray” She taught me to always pray a “so that” I pray dear Lord for wisdom as I read your words so that I may understand your will for me. I pray to be patient and sweet to my husband so that he is happy he’s married to me today. I highly recommend the example about your spouse!

I have my brother on my perpetual prayer list. His name is Gabe. I’d like you to add him to your prayer list if you’re able to. My prayer is for him to be released once and for all from the demon spirits who lead him to make bad decisions and for his return to the church.
I agree with all you’ve said in this post and often find myself praying for others to use wisdom from God and have peace in their situations.
Bless you for your faithfulness to pray for your brother, and I will add Gabe to my list. I find praying for family can be among the most challenging, sometimes discouraging, since we see their lives so closely and it pains us personally and deeply. Ours is to be persistent in the asking and have faith in God's perfect timing and answer. It can perhaps be the most rewarding of prayers.
Great grace, O Lord, for Gabe! Lay your hand upon him and steer his heart to you. Surround him with your holy presence and awaken him to your love and light. Draw him away from worthless things and into your kindness, mercy, joy, and healing. Great grace also for Tan as she persists in bring Gabe to your holy throne. Amen.
