What This Tiny Book Is All About

How many Christians just pray randomly, or selfishly?

That was certainly me. My prayer time was haphazard and focused on stuff I wanted God to do for me. I wanted to pray God’s will--which is what He wants, but didn’t know how.

Maybe that’s you.

One day while studying Ephesians, I saw how Paul went to the Father, bowed his knees, and asked things. These things were he wanted God to do. Then I realized those things were spiritual things, not material.

They were eternal, instead of temporary. Heavenly things, holy and godly.

What I began to see was praying thy will be done on earth as in heaven is: us asking God for exactly what He wants to give us. His Word is full of what He wants us to have.

And I learned that He doesn’t give unless we ask Him.

Now I look up, look to God, and look in His word, to pray what I find there. I pray for things like grace, peace, wisdom; insights, revelation, knowledge; and hope, riches, power, and courage—to name a few.

This book is a list of these things to help you, too. It walks through Ephesians verses to pray now for the same things Paul did. For yourself and for others.
